R&D engine of the BU1ST Sovereign AI Framework
BU1ST Labs
This is where we break models on local hardware, bend them into shape for real workers,
and turn experiments into sovereign tools that never need a cloud to think.
What happens inside BU1ST Labs
From raw models to field-ready Sovereign AI
Offline AI Infrastructure
We design and stress-test the stack that makes offline, on-device intelligence
possible — from CPU-only LLMs and quantisation strategies to private inference
pipelines that run entirely on hardware you own.
Applied Field Systems
Labs prototypes the engines behind BU1ST apps: photo → scope → quote pipelines,
AR-assisted job analysis, compliance helpers and assistants like Tadow Core that
actually understand life on site, not just in a dataset.
Sovereignty & UX for Workers
Every build is tuned for blue-collar workflows and personal scale. Simple UIs,
fast flows, no fluff — and strict separation of data between teams, tenants and
devices so people stay in control of their own intelligence.
Research focus
What we’re actively breaking & rebuilding
BU1ST Labs runs continuous experiments on local-first AI — pushing small and large models
across desktops, field laptops and mobile devices to see what actually works outside a data
centre.
- Local LLM optimisation from 1B → 72B parameters on consumer hardware
- CPU-only inference pipelines for teams without GPUs
- Quantisation research (Q2–Q6, GGUF, AWQ) for speed vs. accuracy trade-offs
- Image → scope → quote engines for trades, cleaning and field work
- Autonomous AI companions (Tadow Core) that live entirely inside your perimeter
- Knowledge-container isolation for multi-tenant and multi-client systems
- “Microscope-level” UI/UX patterns for blue-collar workers under real time pressure
- Private compute for mobile (Android/iOS) without mandatory cloud calls
- Zero-cloud architecture mapping for sensitive industries and public sector deployments

Environment & Landscaping
Flora AI™ Labs Edition
Status: Exploring pilot partners
Vision-powered green-space assistant for landscapers, councils, conservation teams
and educators. Snap a photo of a bed, park or verge and Flora suggests plant types,
risk flags and maintenance scopes.
- Image tagging for plants, turf, hedges and hardscape areas
- Auto-generated maintenance plans and visit cadence
- Client-ready exports for quotes, reports and grant submissions
Smart Cities & Mobility
ParkMate / ParkingFinder AI™ Labs
Status: Private beta • Sydney
Smart parking and bay-management intelligence for operators and councils. Combines
feeds, rules and local context to keep streets flowing and enforcement transparent.
- Live occupancy insights and guidance overlays
- Zone rules, alerts and potential breach detection
- Operator dashboards for planning, pricing and public reporting
High-Security Sites
Tadow Sovereign™
Status: Waitlist now open
A hardened, privacy-first assistant for defence, critical infrastructure and any
site that cannot risk data leakage. Voice, image and task flows run fully inside
your environment.
- Secure inference engine pinned to your hardware
- Locked-down image and voice workflows for sensitive contexts
- No data used for external model training or analytics
Our Philosophy
BU1ST Labs doesn’t chase hyperscale cloud benchmarks. We chase personal
scale – the point where a single worker, crew or small organisation can run
world-class AI locally, privately and independently.
If a build only works in a data centre, it hasn’t earned the BU1ST name yet. We ship
when it runs on real hardware, in real conditions, with real people who don’t have
time to fight their tools.
Future Projects
- Private video-generation engines tuned for on-prem GPUs and workstations
- Camera-based AR job analysis for inspections, training and live guidance
- Quantum-ready Sovereign AI designs for future hardware eras
- Neural-persona memory engines for long-term, local-only assistants
- Autonomous upgrade systems so local AI can improve without leaving site
